Three of The Eagles (Timothy B. Schmidt, J.D. Souther and Glenn Frey) sing back-up vocals and the bridge on Randy Newman's "Short People."

Music Video Cameos #3

Bruno Tonioli from "Dancing with the Stars" shows up in at least two different costumes in Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" from 1983. At 11 seconds, Bruno's the dancer closest to the camera with the black shredded tunic and matching leg warmers.  At 20 seconds, he's the dancing cop/bellhop closest to the camera. He also found some orange pants for a few shots.

Honey Child, I've Got My Doubts

"Different Drum" was a hit for the Stone Poneys and lead singer Linda Ronstadt, but the song was actually written by Monkee (at the time) Mike Nesmith.

Here's Mike comically speeding through his composition on "The Monkees"...

... and the full tune a few years later.

Today's Special

Aasif Mandvi (Comedy Central's "The Daily Show") was a Streetmosphere performer at Walt Disney World, including the cab driver on opening day of Disney-MGM Studios.

Aasif Mandvi also stars in the romcom "Today's Special," which is out on DVD in September 2011.

Bonus Clip:  The Goldspot music video from "Today's Special." It's "Ina Mina Dika."

Out on Thunder Island

Jay Ferguson composed the theme for the American version of "The Office."

Jay Ferguson also wrote the 1970's AM radio classic, "Thunder Island" and had one hell of a good time performing it on "Don Kirchner's Rock Concert."
